The Christmas Tag

I saw this tag on Allthingslaquer‘s blog and although I wasn’t tagged, I decided to do it anyway!

1. When do you start getting excited for Christmas?

My birthday is 26 november and I’ve always held to the fact that christmas should not start until after that! I’m always super excited for my birthday, so I don’t have time to get excited for christmas that before anyways.

2. Do you still have an advent calendar?

My grandmother always gets me (at least) one chocolate advent calender and my mother gives me advent present on sundays.

3. What are your favourite Christmas films?

I don’t know if it is my favorite per se, but Love Actually is a must-see for me every year.

4. Do you have any funny Christmas memories?

When I think about my earlier christmases, I always remember how we used to set up this christmas village with these porcelain houses. They weren’t particularly pretty, but they were an essential part of getting ready for christmas.

5. Talk us through your typical Christmas day.

I’m not sure there is something typical to talk you through. They were different each year depending on which part of my family it was with. This year it’ll be completely different again as I will be spending christmas with my boyfriend’s family for the first time.

6. What do you eat for Christmas dinner?

Duck. I don’t know what the fuss about turkey is in other parts of the world.. It’s always been duck. And pork roast..

7. Do you have any Christmas traditions?

I don’t think I have any traditions that are that much different from what everybody else does..

8. Which are your favourite Christmas songs?

All time favorite is Band Aid II – Do they know it’s christmas? I was thinking I’d do a post about my favorite songs later on this month where I’ll include some other favorites.

9. What is the best Christmas present you’ve ever received?

I remember getting really excited about a lot of presents, but unfortunately, because my birthday is so close to christmas, I honestly can’t tell the presents from the two events apart..

10. Real or Fake Christmas tree?

Real!!!! Christmas trees should not be made of plastic! Plus, a real one has this amazing smell when you’ve just brought it into the house and it smells really fresh and cold..

That’s it! I tag all of the christmas lovers out there to do this tag with me.
