I’ve been playing around with the idea of making some of my manis into pictorials (step-by-step picture guides) because I rarely have time to shoot and edit a video tutorial, but editing the pictures would be quicker. What do you think of that idea?
Today’s mani is inspired by this mani by The Nailasaurus. It’s simple, but very pretty. A lady on the bus even said she’d been looking at it for a while and just had to ask me how I’d done it because she thought it was super pretty. She even asked if I’d done it myself or gotten it done at a salon. Huge pat on the shoulder for me – it’s always really nice to get compliments on what you do. I hope you’ll like it as much as she did.
I painted on the base color and added some top coat. Once that was completely (!) dry I applied two pieces of striping tape in an x-shape and painted the darker blue on the bottom half of the nail, on the parts below the x.

love this design!!! I’ve hadn’t had time to do proper nailart lately! I need to get back into it! Great post!

Yeah, I get what you’re saying. For me, too, the time or inspiration for nail art comes and goes.. But I always end up coming back 😉 Usually I just need to be reminded that nail art can also be simple 🙂 Thanks for stopping by – would love to see some of your nail art if you get back into it 😉
