I think my Picture Polish wish list is miles long by now – I am seriously in love with the brand and the polishes they create that are so unique and different from all others while using a 5-free, vegan formula. To be honest, I’ve never tried any of their creme polishes, but that is only because their glitter/flakie polishes are the best – and they are always easy to remove without any hassle (unless stated otherwise on their website).
When they released a bunch of new shades in september 2017, which included the most perfect fall color ever (Foxy), I couldn’t wait any longer and I had to cross some polishes off my wish list. I only got four this time around (+ a clear jelly stamper because I haven’t had any luck with other clear stampers in the past), and I still have at least as many on my wish list, but I’ll get around to those another time. I had hoped to snatch up ‘2001’ as well, but while I was waiting for them to restock ‘Merge’, the shade was retired 😦
Anyway, here are the four polishes I got this time around.
Picture Polish – Escapades
A teal jelly polish with scattered silver (I think) flakies. The website says holographic glitter, but I haven’t really seen any holo while wearing this. This is a two-coater.
I almost didn’t get this one this time, but I sure am glad I did, because the pictures on the website really don’t do this polish justice! I hope I had luck with capturing the depth this has, because it is not just a near-black teal!
Picture Polish – Merge
A beige polish with scattered holographic flakies. This is a two-coater.
This was the one I was waiting for them to restock before I ordered because I just HAD to have this. It is a perfect nude with a little extra twist.
Picture Polish – Winter
A dark grey jelly polish with scattered holographic flakies. This is a two-coater.
The name really suits this one, I think, because I can really see myself wearing this a ton in the cold months, and I think some snow would really compliment this well.
Picture Polish – Foxy
A Red/brown polish with scattered silver flakies (again this says holographic on the website, but I don’t think it is.) This is a one-coater in terms of coverage, but the second coat darkens the color so that it matches what is in the bottle.
Initially, I was a little disappointed when I saw this in the mail, because I was worried I had been too brave in ordering an orange polish, which I hardly ever wear. I didn’t like it the first ten minutes I wore it, but then it seriously grew on me, and I’ve been wearing it almost ever since – of course apart from when I’ve been wearing one of the other three colors from this haul.
That’s it for this time around – which one is your favorite? I ended up favoring the two opposites as to what I was expecting (Foxy and Escapades).
