I think my Picture Polish wish list is miles long by now – I am seriously in love with the brand and the polishes they create that are so unique and different from all others while using a 5-free, vegan formula. To be honest, I’ve never tried any of their creme polishes, but that is only because their glitter/flakie polishes are the best – and they are always easy to remove without any hassle (unless stated otherwise on their website).
When they released a bunch of new shades in september 2017, which included the most perfect fall color ever (Foxy), I couldn’t wait any longer and I had to cross some polishes off my wish list. I only got four this time around (+ a clear jelly stamper because I haven’t had any luck with other clear stampers in the past), and I still have at least as many on my wish list, but I’ll get around to those another time. I had hoped to snatch up ‘2001’ as well, but while I was waiting for them to restock ‘Merge’, the shade was retired 😦
I recently discovered that a Danish webshop sells Color Club polishes, which I’ve wanted to try for a while, but I was never prepared to pay the delivery costs for international shipping. And what was even better, was that they were having a sale! Of course, I jumped at the chance to try out a nice selection of polishes because you can never really evaluate a brand based on one or two polishes. I may have gone a little overboard, but Continue reading →
Last month, I introduced you to the GOODIEBOX subscription service – a monthly beauty box that you get for 159 kr, but the value of the products will be 5-700 kr. As I said last month, this box is only avaliable in Denmark, but my readers from the rest of the world might enjoy my first impressions on the products. Continue reading →
A couple of weeks ago, my mother and I went to Malmö, Sweden for the weekend. Little had we realized that it was midsommer-weekend. Now in Denmark, we have something along the lines of a midsommer celebration, Continue reading →
I’ve been considering buying some stamping plates for a very long time. I sorta can’t help but think of stamping as ‘cutting corners’ at nail art instead of free-handing things (which I know is stupid), but I also think you can create some amazingly pretty things with stamping plates. Maybe these plates will change my mind and I’ll never want to do any free-handing again. Continue reading →
I was lucky enough to win a christmas giveaway on the blog Spinthebeauty. I won 14 Essie nail polishes! I won the entire fall and winter collection from 2015 plus two polishes from the new(er) lux effects collection. Thank you so much, Maria and Essie Denmark!
I got them in these awesome collector’s boxes that are super cute, and honestly, if they sold the polishes in these boxes out in the stores, I’d probably be buying full collections more often!
Now, I know the collections are not new, but they are still available lots of places, so I thought I’d show you swatches and provide you with my review in case you were still interested in picking some of these up. Continue reading →
You know how you sometimes say to yourself that you’re not allowed to buy any more of something, and then you buy some anyway? That was the case with me this November. For different reasons, I ended up getting new nail polish – some because of the black friday-sale and some as a present. I got 11 new nail polishes in November – 3 as a gift and 8 I bought myself. One of the three is Essie’s Gel Setter Top Coat, which I haven’t tried yet, but am very excited to!
The names are in the captions – hold your mouse over the images to see it. If you want to see actual swatches or reviews of any of these polishes, let me know.
Since the end of the challenge, I’ve needed a break from blogging, and to be honest, that feeling hasn’t quite passed yet, so I’m not sure how often I will be posting over the next few weeks – that depends on how much I feel like it. I want to create good content for the blog, and that just doesn’t happen when it feels obligatory, so I hope you’ll bear with me, if sometimes my blogging schedule becomes a little sparse. I actually have a schedule planned out in my head, but since you don’t always know what life throws at you, I’m just going to keep it in my head so I won’t disappoint anyone if I stray from it.
After the shift in the weather I’ve been searching through my closet for warmer clothes, and as it turns out, I don’t have that much pretty AND warm clothes. Either it’s pretty, summer clothes or warm, comfortable clothes. I had my mom with me on a shopping trip looking for new, warm clothes that is a bit more mature and pretty than all of my comfy sweaters (which I still love, by the way).
