No. 6: This Woman’s Work by Greg Laswell

I’ve gone back to listening to Spotify even though I was against it for a while because it seemed like they only had the newest, baddest pop/techno, but since they introduced their “mood”-playlists, they have actually become my go-to music player. On one of those acoustic/relaxing playlists that I have grown so fond of, I heard this song. I don’t know if it is the song or the voice that speaks to me, but I really like this song! I have yet to hear more from Greg Laswell, but I’m definitely going to!

No. 5: Tenerife Sea by Ed Sheeran

During this exam I’ve gotten in to Ed Sheeran. I’ve never really listened to him much before, but obviously that was a mistake. This has been on repeat the last couple of hours.

No. 4: Band Aid – Do they know it’s christmas?

My ABSOLUTE favorite song for the holidays! I’ve heard it in many different versions including the new one which, to be honest, I was kind of disappointed by. Maybe I’m too old-fashioned, but I think they changed it too much. I think that when you do a cover of a song you should put your own twist to it, but not in most of the song like they did with the new one. I like the Glee version as well, but the original is still the best one in my opinion.

No. 3: Mumford & Sons – I Will Wait

It was only a couple a months ago when my boyfriend introduced me to Mumford & Sons. I hadn’t heard about them before, but I really liked their music! And then the other day my iPod reminded me of their existence through the shuffle-function and that got me into their music again. Then when I went to the gym I discovered that this particular song is great for when you’re on the crosstrainer because of its up-beat tempo. You push yourself just a little more when trying to keep up with the beat.

No. 2: And Your Bird Can Sing (Anthology verison) – The Beatles

This song cracks me up! I first saw the Anthology series about 4 years ago and this song still makes me smile whenever it comes on.

As the people who know me know, I am a HUGE Beatles fan! So you’ll probably see a lot of Beatles songs on here :p

At first I didn’t think too much of the anthology songs – I like the originals more. Looking back I see what a big mistake it was to skip the anthology tracks! They reveal so much vulnerability and sincerity and it makes you feel like you’re closer to the guys.

Even if you don’t like the Beatles you should give this track a listen – I’m almost positively sure that it will at least bring a smile to you face.

No. 1: All I Want by Kodaline

Song of a day No. 1

Kodaline – All I want

I’ve been listening to this song a lot lately. I like it because it is simple, yet really beautiful.

It discusses a topic that I think most people can relate to.

I like to listen to this when I’m down and just indulge in the sadness and i always end up feeling much better lol 🙂

What do you think?
