Surprise Saturday: Lipstick kisses

I’m not a big believer in celebrating Valentine’s Day, since celebrating it is not really a thing in Denmark, but the three colors for this week’s surprise challenge are so pretty and girly, and since I know a lot of you guys celebrate Valentine’s Day, here is a manicure that’s perfect for that! Plus, there is a video tutorial at the bottom of this post.

Surprise Saturday: Pink Polka Dots

I am slowly easing back in to posting regularly again. I spent the first few weeks of January buried in exams, and since I finished those, I’ve hated sitting at my computer, so blogging has been feeling a bit like a chore rather than something I enjoy. It’s getting better and better, and I expect to be back up with loads of nail art and posts for you guys soon – until then, I hope you will bear with me only posting when I feel like it.. Surprise challenge: Red and black flowers

Phew, this week’s polishes were super hard to combine! It’s actually weird that I had such a hard time with these polishes, because in theory they’re not that hard to create something with, but two of the three are very dark, so you weren’t able to see what I’d done.

I’m pretty pleased with the end result – It was a little hard to capture on camera, but I’ve included a super close-up of the flowers and I hope you’ll be able to see where I was going with it. Continue reading

Surprise Challenge: Dark Grey Stripes

For this week’s suprise challenge, I was given these polishes:

  • Sally Hansen – Himalaya
  • China Glaze – Stop that train!
  • Essie – The perfect cover up

My hands were extremely shaky, so the lines are not very pretty and I probably should have used striping tape, but.. sigh.. I just hate using striping tape.. And today my hate of using striping tape won over my love of the look of striping tape manicures. So here it is, shaky stripes and all.
